GHTC signs onto letter to appropriators advocating for NIAID funding in final FY25 budget

GHTC signed onto a community letter addressed to House and Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee Chairs and Ranking Members advocating for the Senate funding level for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in any final fiscal year 2025 (FY25) appropriations bill.

GHTC sends letter and meets with OMB to share FY26 budget requests

GHTC met with examiners from the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to share the coalition's fiscal year 2026 (FY26) budget asks for the US Agency for International Development, the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Defense, and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, which were also detailed in a letter sent to OMB.

GHTC contributes to call to action outlining recommendations for G7/G20 leaders

The G7 & G20 Health & Development Partnership published a call to action outlining recommended actions for G7/G20 leaders to take on health, which features input from GHTC focused on pandemic preparedness, revitalizing the antimicrobials pipeline to address antimicrobial resistance, health equity, and access to medical countermeasures.

GHTC responds to RFI on NIH reform framework

GHTC responded to a request for information (RFI) on House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA)'s recently published framework that lays out the current challenges facing the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and makes recommendations for reform, raising concerns that some of the recommendations could limit important and lifesaving work and urging that any reforms included in legislation to be thoroughly vetted to protect that work.
